Concept

Premise
Scat is a conceptual series of games that will allow players to take a single character through campaigns spanning multiple genres. Their character may begin using magic to save a princess from a dragon, for example, but can easily find themselves in space, having to regain their power through the magic of futuristic science, unaware that the aforementioned princess has followed them. There are three reasons I've recently chosen to call it Scat.

1. Character
Your character will gain many world-specific abilities and items that can be exchanged when transitioning, but four attributes will always carry over.

Strength
Ability to carry heavy items and take damage. Ideal for tank builds, like barbarians and space marines.

Cunning
More dexterous skills like acrobatics and stealth. Ideal for rogue-type builds.

Acumen
Intelligence. Ideal for scientists and magic builds.

Tenor
Your character's sense of purpose. Needed for religious spells and psychic powers, but benefits all builds.

Each character starts with 12 points to distribute as the player sees fit, but can gain points throughout the duration of each game.

2. Dialogue
Stories will unfold via subtitles, whereas voices will be entirely in scat, or nonsense syllables more aimed at creating emotion rather then articulating a concept (like scat singing without the singing). This will allow the voice actors to vocalize every possible emotion without recording 2000 lines of dialogue.

3. Poop Jokes
Scatological humor would be a recurring theme. The first game begins with your character taking a shit when he/she is suddenly sucked into a magical world, where a dark lord seeks to conquer the land with poop magic.
